JAYNII STREETWISE VOLUNTEERS PROGRAMME
You are welcome to volunteer with the JayNii StreetWise Organisation in Ghana, offering services in Sports, Music/Dance, Teaching, Orphanage, Medical, Vocational and Technical skills. Apply to have a genuine experience of Streetwise success in bringing volunteers to Ghana
As the peaceful and safest country in Africa, Ghana, also known as the ‘Land of Smile’ is the best and first place to visit to enjoy and experience Africa. Very welcoming and friendly people, laid back and supportive. As part of our objectives to make you have memorable and enjoyable time in Ghana when here, we offer our help in anyway possible and even if you do not ask, we still make you happy.
There is the perception of “African time” as most travels are either by taxis and trotros which starts and stop at their own convenience. Therefore time keeping varies and sometimes things delay a bit but Jaynii is coming out with GOT – ‘Ghana on time’ which we hope will change this perception. It’s a little frustrating but adapting to the pace of life here and the constant faith that things will work out eventually, which for sure works, is all part of the life changing experience of living and working abroad. Ghana is a Christian nation where most people believe in Jesus and has a great deal to share on how to approach life and enjoy it.
VOLUNTEERING IN GHANA
Ghana is located on the west coast of Africa, surrounded to the West by the Ivory Coast, East by Togo, North by Burkina Faso and South by Atlantic Ocean. Many great people have praised Ghana as one of the leading democratic nations in Africa with a sturdy democracy.
Ghana is rich in minerals, Cocoa, gold, tourism and Agriculture which supports its economy. Discovery and investment in oil production is gradually making a change in Ghana which gained independence in 1957 from British colonial rule. There are still traces of the colonial era like the old slave forts in Jamestown, Elmina and Cape Coast. Inhumane act and sad memories of colonial era. The forts are a must visit scene during your stay. Ghana also boasts of rainforests and some of the most beautiful beaches in Africa.
By volunteering with JayNii in Ghana, you will be contributing to creative ideas and established projects which are in real need of your assistance. It is worth the try and most rewarding way of making a difference in people’s lives and the world around you – service to God and mankind.
